On yet another sunny dry day we got to spend time working and looking down along Blagdon Hill. We carried on working on the task started on the previous 16th Oct Sunday event. Back in the lower meadows, pushing back the bramble, to maintianb the desired 20% cover. It looked daunting at the start, but with willing hands it is surprising how much can be achieved.
There is so much pleasure and satisfaction at the end of an enjoyable day when we could look back proudly say ‘job well done!’
Despite the monitored record of empty dormouse boxes in our wood, during the day we discovered a further two abandoned dormouse summer nests. Proving the point that our wood does indeed have a healthy population of dormice.
