Following the volunteer signposting into the wood, those who had turned out were richly rewarded. The bluebells were in magnificent display, probably the best ever, with more blossom still to come further up the slopes. Not only by bluebells, but the reports of Easter Bunny sightings were true, with evidence being spotted along the tracks.
The clearing of the other half of the second glade was commenced with gusto. With the odd surprise discovery aided by a couple of keen egg spotters. Too soon the afternoon was over, a veteran Ash revealed and the glade finally opened up for all the wood edge plants and fauna to flourish. Well almost, just a little final tidying up still left to do. A very satisfying and rewarding afternoon for all those that turned out.
